So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Wir haben jetzt eine Webanwendung erstellt, die ihren Inhalt im Browser speichern kann. Anders als eine klassische Desktop-Anwendung ist sie aber zum Laden der HTML-, CSS- und JavaScript-Ressourcen trotzdem auf eine Internetverbindung angewiesen.
localhost und Remote-Server
Wenn wir den Webserver lokal betreiben, ist das kein Problem – für den Zugriff auf localhost brauchen wir ja keine Internetverbindung. Eine echte Anwendung liegt aber in der Praxis natürlich auf einem Remote-Server – und manchmal ist es trotzdem wünschenswert, dass der Anwender auch dann weiter mit der Webanwendung arbeiten kann, wenn er gerade nicht mit dem Internet verbunden ist.
