PROJECT 2: APPLYING CSS3 TO YOUR WEB DESIGN

The goal of this project is to expand on the HTML5 pages you created in Project 1 by adding some color and flare. By themselves, HTML5 elements are not pretty. This is a good thing. Back in the days of HTML3.2, a nasty tool made itself available to web designs: the HTML FONT element. Brrr… I get shivers just thinking about. Today, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) gives you greater flexibility to design your web sites.

To illustrate how powerful CSS is, let’s take a look at the web site shown in Figure 2.1Proj with no styles applied to it.
