Selection and Placement Strategy Considerations for Volunteers

Specific selection criteria should be used throughout the interviewing process for volunteers who work in a progressive health care organization. Three major background categories—experience, acumen, and skill sets—should be evaluated to ensure maximum return on investment from selected volunteers (see Figure 6.1).
