Effects apply distortion, texture, artistic, shape, and stylistic changes to objects and imported images, with results that range from subtle to marked. In this chapter, you will apply effects via the Appearance panel, the Effect menu, and the Effect Gallery, and explore a few effects in depth. (Effects can also be saved in and applied via graphic styles. See the next chapter.)
