As you’ve probably gathered, iMovie is completely different from any other program you’ve seen before—including previous versions of iMovie. You’ll find it filled with handy visual cues as to what’s going on. But, especially at first, learning all those cues can seem like a full-time job.
iMovie is teeming with banners over and under your filmstrips (in green, blue, or purple); horizontal lines drawn right across them (in red, green, and orange); buttons galore; and on and on.
You practically need a cheat sheet to remember what they’re all for—and Figure D-1 is where you’ll find it.
