When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The Semantic Web
Abstract:
In the vision of Tim Berners-Lee the web is moving towards the Semantic Web in the near future, and further on to the Web of Reasoning. The first stages of the web were the Web of Documents (Web 1.0) and the Social Web (Web 2.0). The main instruments to realize the Semantic Web have already been developed: XML, RDF, etc. The first Semantic Web browsers are already operational. The Simple Knowledge Organization System (SKOS) guarantees that the vast knowledge hidden in the traditional instruments libraries used for indexing, i.e. subject headings, thesauri and classifications, can contribute to the realization of the Semantic Web.
