Abstract
Automatic parking systems represent a significant advancement in urban infrastructure, offering efficient and convenient solutions to alleviate the challenges of parking in densely populated areas. This work introduces an intelligent and innovative smart parking system with dual functionalities. First, it outlines a parking detection mechanism using an infrared sensor integrated with Internet of Things technology to transmit parking status to the cloud, facilitated by the ESP8266 module. Second, it addresses security concerns through the implementation of FAST-TAG, allowing only authorized access to the parking area, in addition to automatically deducting fees from user accounts based on occupancy duration. To optimize power consumption, the system dynamically adjusts light intensity using an LDR (light-dependent resistor) sensor. Automatic parking systems represent a transformative solution to the challenges of urban parking, offering efficiency, convenience, and sustainability.
