INTRODUCTION TO CULTURE CHANGE MANAGEMENT

Culture change management (CCM) is a slow process that brings about a gradual change in an organization’s ability to handle change initiatives without disrupting the organization’s performance. It focuses on changing the organization’s frame of reference (FOR), making the organization more resilient.

Definitions:

  • Frame of reference (FOR)—a compatible set of ideas, theories, beliefs, feelings, values, and assumptions that are applied to a person’s experience. The frame of reference is an unconscious model comprehending reality.
