Working with Recurring Meetings

When a meeting organizer creates a meeting with recurrences, the Exchange Store will create a recurring master on each attendee’s calendar with the same recurrence information. Any updates that the organizer makes to the recurring series are then handled through meeting messages, and the Exchange Store will process these meeting messages to create recurring series exceptions on all attendees’ calendars accordingly.

The following example demonstrates some of these concepts in action. Once again, Andy is organizing the meeting. In this case, it will be a meeting with Brian every Monday for 12 weeks starting January 8, 2007. Example 10-36 is Andy’s call to the CreateItem Web method.
