Cisco Systems produces a wide variety of router platforms. The IOS (Internetwork Operating System) runs on most Cisco router platforms. The commands described in this chapter provide a general understanding of the minimum configuration needed to enable multicast in IOS. This chapter does not describe every possible multicast command.
