Appendix H. IIS 6.0 Metabase Mapping to IIS 7.0
Table H-1 presents the metabase properties in Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 and the corresponding configuration settings for new XML configuration systems in IIS 7.0. It also provides deprecated metabase keys that do not have direction mapping or relationships in the new configuration systems. The deprecated metabase properties are related to legacy Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) services in IIS 7.0. The IIS 6.0 Management Compatibility in IIS 7.0 setup components is required to support the configuration of the deprecated metabase properties.
