So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Abstract
The first part of this chapter examines work on developing programming languages and tools for components such as embedded systems that make up the IoT ecosystem. We believe embedded-systems programming languages such as the ones surveyed will play an important role in the development of IoT. Because IoT is inherently distributed, message-passing mechanisms such as RPC, REST, and CoAP are needed for distributed programming.
