The task state determines the milestone of a task in a process. The default states are as follows:

  • The job has been received and is waiting to be accepted in the system.

  • The task has been accepted by the allocated user (or system). Other users and systems cannot modify or complete the work since it is locked.

  • The task has been completed.

  • A user has been assigned to the job. (Manual tasks only.)
