Inviscid Incompressible Flow

Different mathematical models of varying complexity have been studied in the different chapters of the present work. For problems with attached flows, the viscous effects are mainly confined to the boundary layer. Consequently, they have a relatively small effect on the global flow pattern and inviscid flow predictions can serve a useful role. Particularly, the pressure field may be computed quite well with such an inviscid model. For this reason and because of its relative simplicity, the inviscid flow models are important.
