I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

1.1 Audio as data
The most exciting aspects of digital technology are the tremendous possibilities which were not available with analog technology. Many processes which are difficult or impossible in the analog domain are straightforward in the digital domain. Once audio is in the digital domain, it becomes data, and only differs from generic data in that it needs to be reproduced with a certain timebase.
The worlds of digital audio, digital video, communication and computation are closely related, and that is where the real potential lies.
