The Model–View–Presenter pattern derives from the Model–View–Controller pattern that we have seen in the previous chapter. It was developed in the early 1990s, at the software company Taligent (which was owned by Apple, IBM, and Hewlett-Packard).1
How It Works
The MVP pattern is made up of three components: Model, View, and Presenter, where the Presenter acts as an intermediary between the Model and the View (UIViewController + View), connected as shown in Figure 3-1.
