I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Low-level APIs
In this section, you have been exposed to the simplest, highest-level API for sound and video. If you plan to do a lot of audio work (either recording or playing), you should go deeper and learn about audio queues, which are part of the AudioToolbox framework. You may also want to study Core Audio, the framework upon which all of this is built. In addition, as of iOS 4, you can use the Core Video framework for low-level video management.
