스크립트로 전환하기에 시간이 많이 듭니다. 그렇다고 그대로 자바스크립트로
유지보수하는 것도 매우 고통스러울 겁니다.
8장에서는 덩치 크고 낡은 자바스크립트 프로젝트라고 할지라도, 꾸준하게
타입스크립트로 마이그레이션할 수 있게 해 주는 몇 가지 방법을 소개합니다.
큰 프로젝트를 타입스크립트로 마이그레이션하는 작업은 어렵지만, 프로젝
트 품질을 크게 개선할 수 있는 가능성을 열어 줍니다. 2017년의 한 조사에 따
르면 깃헙(GitHub)에 있는 자바스크립트 프로젝트에서 발견된 버그의 15%는,
타입스크립트를 사용했다면 컴파일 시점에서 미리 방지했을 수 있었을 거라고
합니다.
또한 에어비앤비(AirBnB)에서 진행된 프로젝트들의 사후 분석(post-
mortem) 6개월치를 조사해 보니, 발견된 버그의 38%가 역시 타입스크립트에
서는 방지할 수 있었던 것들이라고 합니다.
