Chapter 7. Introduction to Routing IPv6
The previous chapters examined IPv6 in some detail—the IPv6 protocol and related protocols such as ICMPv6 and Neighbor Discovery Protocol, the heart of IPv6. As you learned, IPv6 is much more than just a 128-bit address. The configuration of IPv6 is really not all that different than that of IPv4. As explained in Chapter 6, “IPv6 Configuration,” the address configuration of IPv6 interfaces is fairly straightforward.
This chapter explores two topics associated with routing IPv6:
• IPv6 routing table
• IPv6 static routes
