At its core, ISO 9001 is designed to create an engine for improvement, a system that begins with carefully chosen objectives, calculated to meet or exceed customers’ requirements in a competitive marketplace. Implementation of the various processes needed to achieve these objectives is carried out according to both the company’s and ISO 9001’s requirements, but invariably one or more problems result either within the company itself or once the final product or service is delivered.
