It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Vom ersten Auftauchen eines Themas in der Informatik bis zu dem Zeitpunkt, an dem eine Technik allgemein beherrscht und gelehrt wird, vergehen üblicherweise 10–15 Jahre. Das bezieht sich auf das in diesem Buch behandelte Thema IT-Unternehmensarchitektur ebenso wie auf den Begriff Softwarearchitektur, der zu Beginn der 1990er-Jahre auftauchte. Anfang der 2000er-Jahre war das Thema Softwarearchitektur allgemein akzeptiert und reif. Als die erste Auflage dieses Buches geschrieben wurde, also 2005 bis 2006, gab es bereits ein brauchbares Softwarearchitektur-Curriculum und ausreichend Literatur dazu, sodass Softwarearchitektur sich zu einer Disziplin entwickelte, die in Praxis und Wissenschaft heute von großer Bedeutung ist. ...
