Chapter 6. Designing Web Services
In this chapter, we look into the details of designing web services. Validate Config is an example of a real-world web service that we talked about in the HP case study in Chapter 4, “Benefiting from an SOA and Web Services.” Throughout this chapter, we use a step-by-step approach to design this web service. We look at how to design a WSDL using XMLSPY. You will learn how to specify both the abstract and the concrete definitions of a WSDL, and you will learn how to validate the completed WSDL.
