I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Acknowledgments
And now the element that I most enjoy writing, the Acknowledgments. With a few books, and therefore a few acknowledgment pages under my belt, I no longer feel as though I need to thank everyone who I came in contact with while writing the book.
My wife Rebecca and I welcomed our first child, Jakob Edward, while this book was being written. If you'd like an exercise in futility, try writing a coherent chapter of a technology book with a newborn. As luck would have it, my wife was (and is) absolutely incredible and very understanding that deadlines are deadlines. She gave me the time, without any of the guilt, so that I could finish the book on time. Jakob arrived when I had about three chapters remaining and I believe his arrival ...
