What’s new in JSF 2.0?
The number and scope of the changes between versions 1.2 and 2.0 of the JavaServer Faces specification is quite significant, arguably larger than any other two adjacent versions of any specification in the Java EE platform. With so many changes, it is important to have a handy reference to what is new. This section provides a categorized and complete breakdown of new features with references to the chapters in the book where the feature is described. A graphical index of all the JSF subsystems is shown in Figure 1.
