Chapter 11. Web Services and JMX
Web services technologies and implementations are gaining acceptance in the e-business space. These technologies are being used to implement and deploy mission-critical applications that directly affect the bottom line. Managing Web service execution environments and applications will quickly become part of the management landscape. This chapter briefly describes Web services and their management issues. It then illustrates how JMX can be used by a Web services execution environment and by the Web service itself to make Web service–based applications manageable.
