3 HOW PEOPLE FEEL ABOUT WORK
Every year the Gallup Organization conducts their Work and Education Poll to determine among other things how Americans feel about their jobs and issues related to employment. In the August 2020 poll, taken during the height of the COVID pandemic, Gallup found that satisfaction with safety at work showed a large drop from 74% satisfied in 2019 to 65% satisfied in 2020 (Jones, 2020). Other facets of satisfaction remained steady or even a little higher. These results show how job satisfaction can be affected by forces outside of the workplace.
