I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Our journey on this book together started in the fall of 2018 in a New York City hotel lobby. But it wasn't until a global pandemic brought the film and television industry to a screeching halt for half of 2020 that we suddenly found ourselves with an abundance of time. Unsure if there would be a career to go back to, but optimistic that if there was, we wanted to contribute to its future, we started writing. This book allowed us a daily distraction from the unrelenting turmoil happening in the world, and without it we may have struggled to come out on the other side.
