In Chapter 2, we looked at the necessity of understanding the business problem you’ve been asked to solve, as well as its business context. This process included gaining an appreciation of the target market for your product or service. In this chapter, we’ll keep our focus on the research phase of our UX process, but we’ll be looking at the user context. We’ll investigate methods that are useful for engaging users at this stage of your project. Keep in mind that we’ll be interacting with our users several times throughout each phase of the UX framework, as well as during the concept stage and the design stage (more on these in Chapter 5).
