In chapters 6 and 7, I turned from defining new representational types to examining how one particular representation, structured representation, can represent perceptual and conceptual information. Nonetheless, chapters 2 through 7 were primarily concerned with questions like “How are representations of different types structured?” and “What processes are often used with particular representations?” Chapters 8 and 9 focus primarily on issues of content of representations.
