I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Headless service
It is possible to create a service grouping that does not allocate an IP address or forward traffic, if there is a reason that you want to definitively control what specific pods you connect and communicate with. This kind of service is called a headless service. You can request this setup by explicitly setting ClusterIP to None within the service definition:
For example, a headless service might be:

For these services, DNS entries will be created that point to the Pods backing the service, and that DNS will be automatically updated as Pods matching the selector come online (or disappear).
