Developing yourself and your people is an often overlooked and underdeveloped skill in most organizations, which is exactly the opposite of what it should be. It is not uncommon to find people who do not want to hire someone “better” than themselves or who lack the confidence to share information about their job because they are afraid that if they share what they know, they won’t be needed anymore.
