It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
1 Before you begin
Docker is a platform for running applications in lightweight units called containers. Containers have taken hold in software everywhere, from serverless functions in the cloud to strategic planning in the enterprise. Docker is now a core competency for operators and developers across the industry—in every Stack Overflow survey since 2019, Docker has polled as people’s number-one most wanted or most loved technology (or both).
