A script, sometimes called a macro, is a developer-defined action sequence stored for later execution. Once created, scripts can be connected to interface objects (Chapter 20), menu items (Chapter 23), and interface event triggers (Chapter 27). They can also be run by other scripts, external scripting languages like AppleScript (macOS) or ActiveX (Windows).
