Installing Android

After you have successfully installed Eclipse, you have to set it up to have the capability to create Android apps. This requires downloading the Android Software Development Kit (SDK) and installing the Android Development Tools (ADT) plug-in. Both the ADT plug-in and Android SDK are downloaded and installed through Eclipse.

Follow these steps to install the plug-in:

1. Open Eclipse and select Help > Install New Software.

2. The Install New Software window opens (Figure A.8). Click the Add button.
