The mission objectives can be attempted in any order but must be completed in the following order for maximum points:

Mission Objective 1: Disengaging the Power Interrupt Device

The first objective is to disengage the PID. The following rules pertain to the placement and settings of the PID.

  1. When the challenge starts, the PID must be in its engaged position (see Figure 5-3). Swivel the moving arms so that they are touching the orange pieces.
  2. The robot must disengage the PID by moving the swivel arms (see Figure 5-4).
