Felizmente, hoje em dia está se tornando cada vez mais comum o conhecimento de que o gerenciamento eficaz de custos é um pilar fundamental da sua estratégia de adoção da nuvem.
De acordo com o Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework, construir uma infraestrutura em nuvem consciente dos custos, conforme descrito na Figura 8-1, requer três coisas principais: visibilidade (saber para onde seu dinheiro está indo), responsabilidade (ser capaz de explicar e defender os custos e as decisões de compra) e otimização (provar que cada real gasto é gasto de maneira eficiente — o máximo retorno pelo seu investimento).
