9. Be a Savvy Shopper
Most personal finance books, including this one, spend a lot of time yakking about saving, investing, and protecting your money. Not much time is spent talking about spending (well, other than telling you to do less of it!)
But smart shopping skills are essential for anyone who wants to manage money well. And technology—particularly the Internet—has made the task easier than ever before. You can research potential purchases, check out a company’s return policy and reputation, scoop up valuable discounts, and comparison shop yourself silly, all without leaving your home. I’ll share some of the sites that will help you get the most for your money.
