I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 1Make Machines That Learn
In 1958, Frank Rosenblatt, then a researcher at Cornell, revealed "the first machine which [was] capable of having an original idea." [Lef19]. At the time, Rosenblatt’s primitive machine, which learned to identify markings on punch cards, was dubbed a "Frankenstein Monster Designed by Navy That Thinks." [Met21]. Despite the hype, it would take another 60 years of peaks and valleys for artificial intelligence and machine learning to prevail over humans in feats of intelligence.
