Do you know how many photos went into this book? I didn't either. I lost count at Chapter 1, and that was only part one of a dozen or so chapters. I have a massive library of photographs, and a lot of it was macro photography, but my taste in photography is angled toward high-contrast black and white photography and using unique framing and cropping on my photos. In other words, using only my own photos would give a rather skewed image of what is possible, stylistically, with macro photography.

To bring some balance to the table (or book, if you will), I approached several of my friends and colleagues — people I've worked with in the past, or people whose work I have admired from a distance for a while. The photographers listed here have all allowed me to use their work in this book. Without them, the book would have been impossible. I owe them more thanks than simple words can convey, but I hope they'll call in a favor from me at some time in the future. Folks, I owe you one.
