Chapter 17. Drawing Timelines
Timelines let you create animations on a Web page without having to use Flash or write the Dynamic HTML code yourself. Timelines animate layers and thus appear to animate any object that’s in a layer on the page.
Timelines use JavaScript to control layers (see Figures 17.1 through 17.4 on the next page). A layer can move, resize, appear, or disappear—and these actions are controlled by a sequence of animation frames.
