Chapter 12. Using Artwork Created Elsewhere

Macromedia Flash may have its own drawing tools, but you're by no means restricted to using them alone. In addition to producing your own visual assets in Flash, you can import artwork created in other graphic design or layout programs.

In Chapter 11, we reviewed the difference between vector and bitmap artwork, as well as the Trace Bitmap feature and retrieving JPG images when an SWF runs. In this chapter, we review importing and editing both bitmap and vector artwork.
