Chapter 25. Working Smart with PHP

The PHP Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) is a powerful, widely used, and easy-to-learn scripting language and application server. PHP has been around for years, but Dreamweaver began supporting PHP only minimally in Dreamweaver MX. Dreamweaver MX 2004 has great support for PHP, placing it for the most part on par with ASP.NET and ColdFusion MX.

To work with the PHP/MySQL Server model, you need to have both PHP and MySQL loaded and working. For information on where to find the downloads, see the resources section at the end of this chapter.
