Printing Our Model on a MakerBot
Now that we’ve got good geometry in a reasonably-sized file, we’re ready to start printing. In this section, I’ll take you through the steps that are necessary for printing out your scan on a MakerBot (Figure 5-22). We’ll be using ReplicatorG (http://replicat.org) to process and position our STL file as well as to control the MakerBot during the print itself. I’ll walk you through the basic steps required to make a print, including:
Importing your model into ReplicatorG
Positioning and scaling your model
Generating gcode
Driving the bot through the print
