Anger in the Workplace

THIS MORNING Mary got up on the wrong side of the bed. She had slept restlessly, consumed by worries about a presentation she had agreed to deliver today. “I shouldn’t have to give this presentation,” she kept thinking. “It’s not even my project. Why did I agree to do it, anyway?” Long past dawn, she finally peered at the clock—and bolted from bed. Yet again her husband, an early riser, had forgotten to reset the alarm. “Grrrr … He’ll be sorry when I get through with him,” she said, throwing on her clothes. “No time for coffee, no time for breakfast,” she grumbled, rushing out the door. “No time, no time! Late, late, late!”
