It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

AutoCAD is a precise design application and accuracy must be maintained in your drawing files. This chapter will show you how to use specific drafting settings and object snaps (often referred to as Osnaps) that will allow you to draft and model precisely and accurately and provide you with the necessary knowledge to utilize the drafting settings and Osnaps in your daily AutoCAD workflows. When drafting or modeling, Object Snaps (OSNAP) in AutoCAD allow you to snap to specific points on geometric objects. For example, you can snap to an endpoint, or the midpoint of a line drawn in AutoCAD.
