Presenter Overview

Before we get too deep into creating visualization with Navisworks, let's take a few minutes to explore Presenter (Figure 9.1), see how it works at the conceptual level, and preview a few of the options.

Archive and Palette

Presenter is divided into two major components: the archive (Figure 9.2) on the left and the palette on the right. In principle, the defined items, such as lighting and materials, are contained in the archive. When one of the archive items is added to the scene, it will be displayed on the palette.

Three predefined archives are installed with Presenter and can be found on the Materials, Lighting, RPC, and Effects tabs: Recommended, Standard, and Templates. Note that these predefined archives cannot be renamed, ...
