The last chapter emphasised the use of clear short formulas as part of a basic modelling standard which can be audited and understood easily. Formula constructions such as IF, IF, IF … tend to be difficult to understand and prone to simple errors. While there are around 450 functions in Excel, most of them are not applicable to cash flow modelling.
