It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
Congratulations! You not only learned when it's appropriate to use the Canvas or WebGL renderer but also how to create local modifications with the rendering hooks of the library. You learned the basics of the 2D and 3D Canvas and also learned how to use a renderer independent of pixel manipulation methods. We can definitely say that if you can solve the problems lined up in this chapter, you have mastered the renderers of OpenLayers 3.
In the next chapter, we will travel to a completely different part of the library and learn how to create mobile-friendly web mapping applications. We will get the most out of the geolocation capabilities of your smartphone and design a basic geocaching application based on randomly generated data.
