Business Events
Business events are the building blocks of business solution design and development. They are also the unit of work that forms the most effective way to discover the requirements. But we are getting ahead of ourselves. Let’s start with the business problem you are trying to solve. You have already partitioned using customer segments, which gives you focused chunks of the problem to deal with and the priority in which you deal with the chunks. Now we’ll look at using business events to give you the ideal partitioning for your further investigation.
Business events are significant happenings that trigger a response from the activity within your problem space. See Figure 7.1.
