So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Arithmetic operators
Arithmetic operators are used to perform numeric calculations. The operators available are the following:
- Addition: +
- Subtraction: -
- Multiplication: *
- Division: /
- Modulus: %
- Shift left: -shl
- Shift right: -shr
As well as numeric calculations, the addition operator may also be used with strings, arrays, and hashtables; the multiplication operator may also be used with strings and arrays.
